Membership Overview

SECAC is a 25 voting member committee comprised of parents/guardians, FCPS staff, Community Members/Organizations, and high school students.

  • Parents/Guardians: 11 members

  • FCPS staff: 7 members

  • Community Members/Organizations: 5

  • High School Students: 2

The Assistant Superintendent, Director(s) of Special Education, a Board of Education Liaison, Partners for Success Coordinators, and a Community Agency School Services (CASS) Coordinator participate as non-voting members.


  • Voting members serve a two-year term.

  • Attendance at all public meetings is required unless extenuating circumstances arise.

  • Active participation on at least one subcommittee is required.

Membership Applications are open on a rolling basis. Vacancies will be filled as they arise and as soon as practicable.
