Membership Overview
SECAC is a 25 voting member committee comprised of parents/guardians, FCPS staff, Community Members/Organizations, and high school students.

High School Students: 2
The Assistant Superintendent, Director(s) of Special Education, a Board of Education Liaison, Partners for Success Coordinators, and a Community Agency School Services (CASS) Coordinator participate as non-voting members.
For more information on recommendations from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) relative to the composition of Special Education Citizens Advisory Committees (SECACs), refer to Question #9 on the MSDE Technical Assistance Bulletin.
Voting members serve a two-year term.
Attendance at all public meetings is required unless extenuating circumstances arise.
Active participation on at least one subcommittee is required.

Membership Applications are open on a rolling basis. Vacancies will be filled as they arise and as soon as practicable.
